Liberty's VALENTIN PEREVALOV is 2016 BFF Male Player of the Year!

27 goals in 23 games...not too shabby! It is also worthy of our first ever award here at Bethlehem Futbol Factory. Congrats to Val on being the BFF 2016 player of the year. Over the weekend he was cool enough to take a few minutes and do a quick interview after practicing with the Bethlehem United at Iron Lakes.

Valentin has lived in the area since he was a toddler. He was exposed to soccer at age 5 when he went to a camp with a friend. That eventually led to him taking advantage of our local pipeline of club ball playing at Bethlehem Soccer Club from U-8 thru U-10 and then Lehigh Valley United thru U-17. Somewhere around the age of 10 is when he realized he had a knack for finishing and started to focus on the offensive side of the ball. He speaks very highly of his parents and his grandfather for their support through his growth as a player. His accomplishments are especially impressive considering he sits at the top of his class at Liberty High. I stress this is something i had been told during the season and not something he was "gloating about". He credits being organized and dedicated as the keys to excelling both on the field and in the classroom. Such a cool humble guy I'm telling you.

His favorite goal this year was his OT game winner against Emmaus in the conference playoffs on October 15. I can attest to that as my son was in the crowd and he said that was coolest thing he ever seen! Personally my favorite was the OT winner in districts against Allen because it got us in out of the rain. Point being he had lots to choose from to be sure! Valentin is currently playing with Bethlehem United in hopes to bring home a state cup this spring. He likes his chances with this gritty group. After seeing their training session on Saturday i can see why. Moving forward Val plans on continuing his career in Europe and they would be lucky to have him. Thanks again for the time and the great memories this year. Bethlehem Futbol Factory wishes you the best and we'll continue watching your career. Keep doing Bethlehem proud!
